SPORTS FACILITIES
Sands Decker CPS has been an integral part of several desgin teams on projects involving the planning, design and construction of new sports fields and public parks. These projects range from sites having just one sports field to large multi-use sports complexes. Our design experience includes baseball, softball, track and field, soccer, bleachers, seating, restrooms, and concession areas. Fields can be specified using any turf type including natural athletic turf and the latest synthetic "grass-like" artificial sports turf.
We have coordinated the overall project development including surveying, preparing conceptual sketches, developing project schedules, preparing preliminary development plans, final construction plans, storm water drainage analysis, irrigation systems using an on site well to reduce water cost, prepared utility easements, and obtained Ohio EPA and other approvals. We represent our clients interests at public meetings such as zoning hearings, planning commission, and City Council meetings to provide insight to all technical aspects. Cambridge City School District-New Track, Football Field, Soccer Field, Field Events including Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Discus and Shot: New Irrigation System, Drainage System, provisions for future Field House, Concession/Restroom buildings, bleachers.
Groveport Madison School District- New Track, Football Field, Concession Buildings, Restroom Buildings, New Soccer Field, Complete new Drainage System, Field Events including Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Discus and Shot: New Home and Away bleachers.
Westerville City Schools-Walnut Springs Middle School- New Track and Football Field, Field Events including Discus, Shot, Long Jump, High Jump, New Water System with Irrigation Connections, Fencing, Outdoor Basketball Courts, Softball Field, Baseball Field, Soccer Field.
Rock Hill School District- New High School Athletic Complex- Very unique facility cut deep into the side of a steep hillside. Included a new Football Field, Track, Restrooms, Concessions, Large Home Side of Bleachers set into the hillside, Away Side of Bleachers, Extension Drainage System, Retaining Wall under the Home Side of Bleachers, Paved Access Walkway from the hill top parkig lot to the top of the Home Side Bleachers.
Rolling Hills School District- New Softball Field and Football Practice Field located adjacent to the existing Football Field. Constructed Summer and Fall 2004.
Upper Arlington High School-Sanitary Sewer Relocation: Designed the relocation of 8 inch and 12 inch sanitary sewers to allow for the installation of new Tennis Courts and Parking Areas north of the existing High School building. The project was constructed Summer 1999. |
