WOODSFIELD NURSING AND REHAB CENTER, WOODSFIELD, OHIO
SERVICES PROVIDED FOR THIS PROJECT (2005):
Complete Civil Engineering, Site Grading, Site Dimensional Plan, Storm Sewer, Erosion Control Plan
This site is located on the west side of the Village of Woodsfield, Ohio and had an existing assisted care facility and parking lot on site. The new additional building and parking lot is proposed east of the existing building. The building is a two story structure with approximately 12,000 to 14,000 s.f. per floor. While the property was very large, the project impacted only about 3 acres of the site.
We coordinated all utility work with the Village Water and Sewer Superintendent, Terry Comstock, and met with him on site to locate existing waterline and sanitary sewers. The Village had a 6 inch water line and 8 inch gravity sewer line to the facility so only service line extensions were needed.
This project was designed in conjunction with DSI Architects and Point One Design for the Electrical and Site Lighting design.
GUERNSEY HEALTH SYSTEMS - S.R. 660 FACILITY, CAMBRIDGE, OHIO

Located on the south side of Cambridge, Ohio, the Guernsey Health Systems 20,000 square feet facility on S.R. 660 provides outpatient clinic space for occupational and physical therapy.
Sands Decker CPS provided complete civil engineering services from Design Development to Construction Documents including site dimension plan, site grading plan, storm sewers and erosion and sediment control.
The site is located within the D.O. Hall Business Park which was developed from reclaimed strip land mine. Our firm, in conjunction with the architects and geotechnical engineers, used additional care and design features to minimize any effects from the mine's spoils during the site preparation.
The site was designed with a future second building pad to allow for future needs of the Guernsey Health Systems.
HOLZER JACKSON CLINIC PARKING ADDITION, JACKSON, OHIO
SERVICES PROVIDED FOR THIS PROJECT (2007):

This site is located on the east side of the City of Jackson, Jackson County, Ohio. The site and building were constructed about 6 years ago, and large cuts and fills were necessary to establish the building pad and parking lots. In 2004, Sands Decker CPS designed a new secondary entrance road to facilitate access for construction of a new surgical wing. The road will initially be used for construction traffic and ultimately, the road will be paved and will be used as a secondary access to the Clinic.
The Clinic needed to add more parking on the west and northeast sides of the building. This parking will replace displaced parking on the southeast side of the building plus add additional parking for staff and visitors. The parking on the west side will allow for a future building addition without changing the parking lot.
OHIO SMILES AND EYECARE CENTER, CAMBRIDGE, OHIO
SERVICES PROVIDED FOR THIS PROJECT (2008):

Located on Deer Path Drive just north of Wills Creek, this site consisted of approximately 2.07 acres. The project included the proposed 9,000 square foot building plus a future storage building, associated driveways, loading and parking areas, dumpster pad, basketball court, grading and drainage. Storm water dentention was provided on site and the site plan allowed for sediment control and for the controlled release of storm water run-off. Water and sanitary sewer services were available at the site along Deerpath Drive. An early sitework package was generated to allow the removal of the old foundation and preparation of the building pad and stone for the front parking lot.
Sands Decker CPS provided complete civil engineering services from Design Development to Construction Documents including site dimension plan, site grading plan, storm sewers and erosion and sediment control.
We also provided construction staking services for Higgins Building Company, the general contractor.
